Photos

We wrote stories about our photos from home.  We tried to be clever writers and give enough detail so the reader could match the photos with the stories.  In the classroom the Ms Petherick read us the stories and we tried hard to match these stories with the photos.  Now on our back wall we have the stories and photos for matching... (they don't have names on them like they o on the blog).

Me and my friends are at school. We are sitting on the Room 3 beanbags. It was fun sitting with my friends.
By Lucia.
In the photo I went to the beanbags. Now I have my photo. Now I’m glad.
By Leyton.
I was at dream world. It’s in Australia. It was my Birthday. There were scary dinosaurs. I turned seven. The cake was like a dinosaur.
By Zak E.
In the holidays we went to a café. I had this massive bowl of chips with tomato sauce! The café was called Cappadona.  I was in Hastings. I was wearing my Warriors shirt, I got for Christmas. I didn’t eat all  the chips. I was with my Mum and Dad. My big brother was really jealous. My Mum was happy because I ate so many chips.
By Eli.
I am surfing at Waimarama. It’s 2015. I’m surfing a big wave which bought me to the hot part of the beach. I was with my friend. Well he’s sick right now. You’d easily notice that  I love surfing.
My kitten likes me. My kitten plays. Sometimes I feed my kitten and my Mum called my kitten. When I hold my baby kitten he went to sleep on me. I get my kitten in the morning.
By Jimace.
Hi I am at the farm with Ian and Doris. I was feeding Lucky. He nearly pulled me over.
By Lachie.
I am at school sitting on the beanbag. I am by Leyton.
By Bryn.
I was sitting on the beanbag with my friend Calais. She was sitting in the front of me. We smiled. We all sat on the beanbag, except for Calais and Leyton. I sat on one and they are soft.
By Poppy.
I went water skiing in the river. The person who held me from falling backwards was a ski camp leader. My daddy was diving, my Mum, me, my Dad came with me to the river.
By Brooke.
When I was at my old school called Port Ahuriri I played with Leo and Connor.
By Lucas.
I went fishing on my first time. I caught two fish at the same time. It was cool. I went with my Dad and Mum and Poppa and Nana.
By Zac G.
I went to Te Puhia Hut. We followed the Mohaka River. We had to work hard through bush and it was hot. It took all day. When we finished we had a swim in the Mohaka River.
By Liam.
On Tuesday in the afternoon I had a photo with Toby G, Bryn, Leyton and me. I was hanging on the pole with Toby. Everyone else was on the beanbags. Bryn was lying behind Leyton on the beanbag. Toby and me were on the same pole.
By Josh.
In the holidays I got a new cricket bat.  I was standing next to it at “Off the Track”. I felt so happy. My Dad took the photo. The cricket bat is a GM size 2.
By Baxter.
Me and my friends were sitting on the beanbags . Ms Petherick was taking a photo of us because we didn’t bring a photo from home.

Swimming by Finn
Room 3 and I go swimming at the Clive School pools every day for swimming lessons.  I’m in the seahorses.  I have to… streamline on my front without a flutter board and on my back without a flutter board with only three breaths.  We change groups if we pass.  We have these groups… jelly fish, star fish, stingrays, seahorses (that’s my group) whales, dolphin and advanced dolphin too.
Swimming by Baxter
Every day we do swimming lessons at the Clive School pool with Room 3 and me.  I am in the seahorse group practicing going on my back and front and back and forward.  I like swimming in my group.  I am struggling to swim on my back.  It is really hard for me.
Swimming by Josh

Every day Room 3 goes swimming in the Clive Pool.  I’m in the Whales.  Ned and I are still practicing backstroke.  There are lots of stages you can be on.  Ned and I tried our best.  I was the fastest to get dressed and at getting back into my Clive uniform.  All the groups are busy.

Room 3 are writing stories that RECOUNT events.  We need to include the information of who? Where? When?  What?  Here are a few of our stories:
