Thanks to Leyton's wonderful Mother we had The hits 89.5 visit us! Martin and Sarah talked to us about what it is like to work on a radio station, what their jobs are and answered our many questions. We LOVED having them visit.
Then they taped us so they could play our voices on the Radio tomorrow morning. So if you want to know our answers to what our family does on Easter Sunday listen to The Hits 89.5 tomorrow morning around 7;45 a.m.
But the best was still to come..... they gave us vouchers! Lots of vouchers! Wonderful vouchers! Marvellous vouchers that we can use during the holidays. Vouchers for -Par2 mini golf on Marine Parade, a Lazer Tag voucher and a Rush Munro's voucher!
To quote some of the children in the class - "this is the best day ever!"
A HUGE thank you to Martin and Sarah as well as Leyton's Mum.

What was School like in our Grandparents Day?
Room Three listened to Lachie’s Nana talk about what it was
like at School when she was six or seven.
We heard about bombs and air raid shelters. We heard about having NO devices – televisions,
cell phone, I-pads or net books (the
children were totally AMAZED by this).
And they were SHOCKED that there were NO televisions at home
either! Room Three heard about ink pens
and ink wells for writing. We heard
about rulers used for two smacks on the hand if a child talked….. (they were
glad Ms Petherick doesn’t have a hitting ruler!) They heard how there were NO
rewards like “good choices” or “raffle” (they were very pleased Room 3 have
these!).
We asked REALLY great questions to gain further information
about life at School many years ago. Ask
your child what else they learnt about this afternoon…
